Marta Llavona Campo earned her undergraduate degree in architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of Madrid in 1993 with the special achievement of "Notable."  In 2004, she earned her doctoral degree in architecture from Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura with the achievement of summa cum laude.  She also completed the professonal program "Urbanism and Territorial Management" from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oviedo.

Parallel to her directing her own arquitectural firm, Marta has executed more than 200 projects as part of her supervisory role as county architect for various municipalities in eastern Asturias.  Her ongoing interest in expanding her knowledge of and experience in all types of architecture has led her to deepen her research into selected areas of the discipline, resulting in published books, articles, and conference presentations.
